Bohol, specifically Balilihan, is also site to PCA program of building coco hubs. The Provincial Government has allocated counterpart budget for the project. At the same time, coconut has been identified as a primary commodity in the Philippine Rural Development Program under the Department of Agriculture. Gov. Chatto assured farmers that there is a comprehensive plan for economic activity in the province, which includes the coconut industry.
