This is the question many friends ask me.
My reply:
I have nothing personal against the other candidates but when I examine carefully their record and pronouncements here is what I find.
A Senate panel recommended Binay be charged with plunder. The Ombudsman found probable cause and is readying charges against him when he no longer enjoys immunity as VP. COA's findings substantiate the charges in its audited report. The AMLC discovered huge amounts in Binay's bank accounts.
Binay has not proven the accusations are false other than to say he is innocent and has immunity. By adopting this stance, it tantamounts to an admission of guilt. Yet this man is running for the presidency. How can those against corruption vote for him?
Roxas' record in DOTC and DILG are nothing spectacular. The MRT is blotted by anomalies. He was afraid to speak out to the president when his 44 SAF were being massacred and appealed for help at Mamasapano. He did little to aid the Yolanda victims. His mining cronies whom he called his friends devastated Agusan del Norte. He is incapable of handling stress. He is against constitutional change. This tells me he favors the present rotten political system that benefited the oligarchy and established order. How can you expect this man to deal with our huge problems as president?
Poe is a nice ex-American gal who switches allegiance like she changes panties. She is susceptible of manipulation given her inexperience by those advising her and the Marcos cronies financing her. She is likely to protect Noynoy after the latter is no longer president. I fear she is the puppet of the Aquino-Cojuangcos. She is against change.
Duterte has an excellent track record as mayor of Davao. Just ask the people there. He is a man of great common sense. He listens carefully to people before making up his mind. He lives modestly. He has no airs, little money. He has mass appeal. He is firm and doesn't tolerate nonsense. He favors change. He understands the problems of Mindanao and has the trust of the people there, including the MNLF and the NPAs. He has the solution to the MILF. He is the man most likely to end the conflict there. He is the man most likely to unite the nation from the deep divisions caused by Aquino.
Can Duterte win? Don't look at contrived surveys. Look at the pictures of the huge crowds greeting him. Compare them to the crowds of the other candidates and that will tell you the real story. These pictures are hidden by the formal media beholden to vested interests in order to downplay Duterte's popularity because vested interests see Duterte as a threat.
It won't change the final result. Whether you like it or not, Duterte is the next president. Whether you like it or not, change will come. Either way by fair and free elections or a revolutionary government due to widespread cheating, Duterte will fulfill the destiny I am convinced God gave him.‪#‎PHVoteDuterte‬ ‪#‎PHVoteCayetano‬

WASHINGTON, United States - The United States has conducted another drone strike in Somalia, this time targeting a senior Shebab leader thought to have been plotting attacks against Americans in Mogadishu, the Pentagon said Friday.

The announcement came shortly before President Barack Obama offered detailed remarks about America's controversial drone program, saying some criticism of it had been "legitimate," and acknowledging there was "no doubt" the unmanned aircraft have killed innocent people in the past.

Thursday's strike was conducted in cooperation with Somali officials and targeted Hassan Ali Dhoore, Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook said.

A US defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the strike targeted a vehicle Dhoore was riding in with two other Al-Qaeda-aligned Shebab members.

"We have been watching him off and on for a long time," the official said.

The strike comes less than a month after US drones and warplanes hammered a Shebab training camp in Somalia, killing more than 150 fighters the Pentagon said were prepping for a "large-scale" attack.

Obama said the military avoids drone strikes in areas where women or children are present, and usually only carries out missions after long periods of monitoring.

Still, he said some strikes have killed people other than the intended targets.

"There has been, in the past, legitimate criticism that the architecture -- the legal architecture -- around the use of drone strikes or other kinetic strength was not as precise as it should have been, and there is no doubt that civilians were killed that should not have been," Obama said at the end of a nuclear security summit in Washington.

"What I can say with great confidence is that our operating procedures are as rigorous as they have ever been and that there is a constant evaluation of precisely what we do."

The Pentagon said it was still assessing whether Dhoore had been killed.

Dhoore allegedly was part of Shebab's security and intelligence wing, and had been involved in planning attacks in Mogadishu, the Pentagon said.

"He had planned and overseen attacks resulting in the death of at least three US citizens," Cook said, noting that Dhoore had played a role in the December 2014 attack on Mogadishu's airport that resulted in the death of several African Union soldiers and a US citizen.

"Dhoore was also directly responsible for the March 27, 2015 attack on the Maka al-Mukarram Hotel in Mogadishu, resulting in the deaths of 15 people, including one Somali-American national. Hassan was believed to have been plotting attacks targeting US citizens in Mogadishu," Cook added.

Shebab jihadists have claimed responsibility for a string of recent attacks including a twin bombing at a busy restaurant in the Somali city of Baidoa in February.

The US military has over the past 15 years invested heavily in drones, used to surveil vast parts of the Middle East and Africa.

The unmanned vehicles have become key to the US-led coalition's efforts to fight the Islamic State group in Syria.

The military currently has about 7,000 drones, of which 200 are armed, according to the New America think tank.

Anonymous Philippines Gives Warning to Mar Roxas Not to Engage in Electoral Fraud

A Facebook user posted screenshots of photos that warns DILG Secretary and presidential bid Mar Roxas not to cheat on the elections on May 9, 2016, otherwise the Anonymous Philippines (a group of hackers in the Philippines) will hack his bank accounts.Last week, on a related story, a Facebook page named ChriStevens posted a video which, shows a person wearing a mask that looks like a character in an animated movie.

The character, which apparently represents Anonymous Philippines, sends a message to the people of the Philippines and the Commission on Elections.

Here are some excerpts of Anonymous Philippines statement:

“Hello Philippines we are anonymous. What you know or do not know about us are irrelevant. We have decided to write to you people of the Philippines and the Commission on Elections, particularly (COMELEC CHAIRMAN) Andy Bautista.”

The message goes further in relation with Supreme Court’s decision on public bidding nullifying the P268.8-million deal between the Comelec and Smartmatic.

“What happens when the electoral process is so mired with questions and controversies? Can the government still guarantee that the sovereignty of the people is upheld, the group said.

“We request the implementation of the security features of the PCOS machines.”

The group warned that it will send a virus to the SD cards used in the voting machines.
